Emily Ratajkowski has made no secret of where her allegiances lie in the race for the Democratic nomination ahead of this year’s U.S. election. The model and actor has planted her flag firmly as a supporter of Bernie Sanders, specifically endorsing his progressive policies of universal healthcare and free college education for all. She’s not shy about expressing her political leanings in the clothes she wears, either, posting to her Instagram shots of herself in both official Bernie campaign merch, and a few more DIY efforts. (We particularly like the pink knitted turtleneck with the “I” in Bernie replaced with the female gender symbol, and the time she dressed her dog Colombo up in a Bernie tee, too.)
So it came as little surprise, then, to see her stepping out in a fresh piece of Bernie merch as she was spotted running errands in Los Angeles, California. This time, it was a more playful piece by art-fashion label Come Tees: the T-shirt featured a throwback snap of Bernie in black and white, accompanied by the tagline “rage against the machine.” For her casual day out, she styled her tee with a pair of Daisy Dukes, box-fresh white Nike sneakers, and a pair of mini tortoiseshell sunglasses. Clearly, Ratajkowski knows how to “feel the Bern” in style.
